Campaign background
The campaign is in partnership with Porthmadog, Barmouth, Pwllheli and Blaenau Ffestiniog town councils. One of our youth workers is also working with local schools to deliver our Fearless program to young people.
Gwynedd is one of the safest and most beautiful parts of Britain, however, there are some who wish to spoil this; some who live in the area and some who travel to the area to carry out crime.
The campaign seeks to encourage those who live in the area to help make their community safer and reduce crime by contacting us 100% anonymously.
Communities play a vital role in stopping drug dealing and crimes that are fuelled by it, such as burglary, theft from cars, vans and shops, the sale of stolen goods and violence.
People within the community know those who are carrying out crimes, but may not want to contact the police directly. We offer a safe and secure way for them to do so.
Over 1600 people from North Wales contacted us last year, an increase of 21%, which led to numerous arrests and convictions.
