[THE ABOVE SUSPECT IS NOT NATHAN SMITH, BUT A PLACEHOLDER.]

We've launched a Most Wanted appeal for anonymous information to urgently find 27-year-old Nathan Smith, wanted for questioning over the murder of Taki Boudhane in Finsbury Park in January 2021.

On Friday January 3rd, 2021, Taki was working shifts as a food delivery driver on his bike when a row with a white van driver is believed to have escalated. Taki was stabbed during the alleged road rage attack on Lennox Road N4 at around 6.50pm.

30-year-old Taki , who was planning to get married and had moved from Algeria for a better life, sadly bled to death in the street, despite the best efforts of emergency services.

27-year-old Nathan Smith remains at large and, as the prime suspect, is urgently wanted for questioning by investigators over this murder.

Violent crime and murder harms not only individuals and their families and friends directly, but affects wider communities. To help maintain community safety, we're supporting police in the hunt to find dangerous, wanted individuals who are on the run.

Crimestoppers is appealing to anyone who may know where Nathan Smith is hiding, to tell us, as an independent charity, what you know, 100% anonymously - guaranteed.

Smith is described as white, 6 foot 3 inches tall, with dark hair and of slim build. Since going into hiding, it is highly likely that he will have changed his appearance. He had a tattoo on his right forearm with the words 'count your blessings’. Smith is known to have links to Islington, Camden and Kentish Town.

It’s believed Smith fled to Austria the day after Taki’s murder, then went to Switzerland, but he could now be elsewhere in Europe, or further afield.

Taki’s brother Islam said:

“Since Taki’s murder, everything has changed as a big part of our lives is now missing. My mum and dad, my sisters – we are all suffering because of what’s happened. Our lives will never be the same.

"Please, if you know where Nathan Smith is, for our family who are desperate, contact the charity Crimestoppers. You’ll stay anonymous and you’ll be helping our family to heal and see justice.”

Mick Duthie, Crimestoppers' Director of Operations, said:

“Nathan Smith is urgently wanted for questioning and the public are advised not to approach him if they see him.

“Our Most Wanted campaigns are aimed at people who have information on the whereabouts of fugitives, but who don't want to speak to the police directly.

"An innocent, much-loved man has lost his life needlessly. If you know where Nathan Smith is, I hope you will contact our charity 100% anonymously. Crimestoppers has always kept our anonymity promise since we began taking crime information back in the late 1980s.

“Please do the right thing. You can call our UK Contact Centre, which is open 24/7, on freephone number 0800 555 111 or you can use our simple and secure anonymous online form here on our website. Every day, more than a thousand people trust our charity with their anonymous information. Nobody will know you contacted us, only you.”
