STATEMENT: Peter Gouldstone
After the passing of World War 2 veteran Peter Gouldstone, 98, over the weekend following an attack in his home, a statement from our Chief Executive, Mark Hallas:
“Crimestoppers colleagues and I were deeply saddened to learn of Peter Gouldstone’s passing over the weekend following the heartless and malicious attack he endured last month.
“A man who served our country, who was simply going about his normal day at home, has lost his life and now we need to find the person responsible.
“I would like to remind the local community that there is a reward of up to £30,000 available after The Sun newspaper doubled their amount to £20,000 to add to our reward of up to £10,000. Contacting us is safe and secure and in the 30 years our charity has been running, we have always kept our promise that those who contact us, will remain 100% anonymous.
