Up to £100,000 appeal launched for information on anniversary of John Palmer murder

On the third anniversary of his murder, the family of Essex businessman John Palmer has launched a £100,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of his killer or killers, with the support of our charity.
Mr Palmer, 65, was at his home in Sandpit Lane, Brentwood, Essex, at around 5.30pm, on Wednesday June 24, 2015 when he was repeatedly and fatally shot.
Christina Ketley, Mr Palmer’s partner, said: “Losing a loved one is hard enough but in this case we have the added stress of not only not knowing who did it but why.
She said that, just before the murder, they had enjoyed a Father’s Day where their whole family had come together.
“It was lovely and I felt that the future would continue to be as perfect as that, with family at the centre of everything. I never dreamed it would be the last time we were all together as a family with John. Since then every Father’s Day, every birthday and every special occasion is a constant reminder of not only the fact that John is not with us, but that his life was so ruthlessly cut short.”
Roger Critchell, our Director of Operations, said: “We understand that people are not always willing to go to the police so we would urge them to contact Crimestoppers with 100% anonymity through our phone line or our online form.”
If anyone has information on the murder of John Palmer they can contact us anonymously on 0800 555 111 or through the secure online form.
