Up to £10,000 reward: husband's appeal to catch hit-and-run driver after wife's death

We are offering a reward of up to £10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for causing the 2008 death of Josie Mullaney by dangerous driving.

Mrs Mullaney was travelling as a passenger in a car that was involved in a collision with three other vehicles. She was taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service and later died from head injuries.

The collision on the Ruislip Road in Northolt, west London, occurred at 3.40pm on 26 October 2008 and involved a grey Toyota MR2. The driver of that vehicle has never been traced.

The Toyota, registration number LS06 GBU, failed to stop at the scene. It had been reported a few days earlier as stolen from Bourne Close in Isleworth and subsequently abandoned in Woodstock Avenue, Southall. All the other drivers involved in the collision were identified and spoken to.

***We are now offering the reward of up to £10,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for Mrs. Mullaney’s death by dangerous driving***

“A decade has passed since this tragic crash and the family of Josie Mullaney are still waiting for answers. Her husband, who survived the collision, has said that he thinks about his wife every day and cannot understand how the person responsible can sleep at night, given the tragic consequences of their actions.

“His wife had just retired after nearly 40 years of working for British Airways when her life was curtailed. Images of the car seen leaving the scene have been released and if you recognise the car and know who was driving, then please do the right thing and let us know.

“We guarantee you will stay 100% anonymous when you call 0800 555 111 or use our non-traceable online form at Crimestoppers-uk.org.”
