Up to £5,000 reward: appeal after violent robbery of pensioner in Fife home

We are offering a reward of up to £5,000 for information about the robbery of a 76-year-old woman at her home in Crossford, Fife, that saw a number of items taken.

The incident occurred on Friday 4 May at around 11pm when the elderly victim was confronted in her home by a man who threatened and restrained her before leaving the property.

CCTV of a man has been made available who Police Scotland believe could assist them with their enquiries.

He is described as 5ft 8ins tall and of medium build with short light hair and spoke with an accent that was possibly Eastern European. He is believed to have links to Greenock and the Clackmannanshire area.

We are now offering the reward of up to £5,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for this attack.

Angela Parker, Scotland National Manager for the charity , said: “This was a terrifying ordeal for the victim and what she went through is something I cannot even begin to imagine.

“The man responsible is clearly someone who does not care who he hurts, how much suffering he inflicts, regardless of whether that person is vulnerable or not.

“Our charity guarantees that everyone who contacts us stays 100% anonymously. Always. We’ve kept that promise for our 30 year history. No-one will know you contacted us and it could be your information that makes the difference so please contact us and be an ambassador for your community.”
