Crimestoppers in Surrey Ambassador Evening a great success

Crimestoppers in Surrey Ambassador Evening a great success

Our Surrey committee decided that to celebrate the work done by the committee across the county, and to encourage more people to sign up to be an Ambassador for the charity, they would hold an evening reception.

The reception took place last month at Reigate Town Hall, and was attended by more than 60 people, including Volunteer Chair Ian Chandler, MC for the evening.

Speakers included Surrey Police & Crime Commissioner David Munro, Crimestoppers CEO Mark Hallas OBE, Surrey Police Head of Intelligence Operations Danielle Gyseman and Emily Drew from our Fearless team (Fearless is our youth service, aimed at young people aged 11-16).

The evening was also an opportunity to celebrate Crimestoppers’ 30th anniversary as a charity, and to thank Dave Wright, one of our well-respected Surrey volunteers (pictured above, with Danielle Gyseman from Surrey Police and our CEO Mark Hallas OBE), for his dedication to both Crimestoppers and Surrey Police, for whom he also volunteers.

It was a great night, filled with lots of enthusiasm to support the charity, and it was rounded off with a free prize draw, won by Sarah Chase who took home a camera doorbell courtesy of our partners at Ring.
