Merseyside appeal to help take guns off the streets

We have launched a major campaign in Merseyside to appeal for information on recent and historic shootings, including details about information on where firearms are stored and how they are transported.
The campaign is in response to a spate of recent incidents that have taken place in Walton, Stockbridge Village, Woolfall Heath, Skelmersdale and other parts of Merseyside. A particular concern is the rise of injury shootings across the region.
Our charity has received over 3,500 pieces of anonymous information from the public across Merseyside over the last six months. This is an increase of 15% on the same period last year; 261 of these were on firearms and 42 on murder. This has led to a number of guns being seized and arrests being made thanks to anonymous information passed on by the public in Merseyside.
Everyone who contacts us – either by phone on 0800 555 111 or via our online form - stays 100% anonymous. Always. We have kept this guarantee since our charity began over 31 years ago.
If you have any information about crime in Merseyside and prefer not to speak directly to the authorities, then contact our charity 100% anonymously on 0800 555 111 or use our untraceable Anonymous Online Form.

“Keeping our communities, families and streets safe is our main priority. We all have a role to play in helping put a stop to shootings on our streets, especially if we know who’s involved in bringing violence to Merseyside and details on how they operate.
“If you prefer not to talk directly to the authorities, then our charity is here for you. We need information on who is carrying out these shootings, where the weapons and bullets are stored, and the vehicles they use. We take all information seriously and your information could be vital.
“Those who carry out these attacks rely on the myth that you shouldn’t `grass’, as it suits them to build up a wall of fear to try and avoid being caught. They have no respect for life or the damage they cause to families. By contacting Crimestoppers, you can help break the control that these criminal gangs seek to have.
“I appeal to anyone who has information on shootings or firearms to contact us 100% anonymously and help save lives. The only one who will know that you have contacted us is yourself.”
