Chalk Farm drive-by shooting of innocent man prompts reward & appeal

Following a drive-by shooting that led to the death of an innocent 24-year-old man in north London, our charity is offering a reward of up to £10,000 for information leading to the conviction of the murderers.
It’s believed that Wilson Alexandre Garcia Varela was killed as a result of mistaken identity and that he was wrongly targeted by gang members.
The shooting occurred shortly before midnight on Sunday, 8 September on Malden Road, Chalk Farm, London, NW5.
The victim, who was from Forest Gate in east London, was found suffering a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene at 00:10hrs on Monday, 9 September. He left his girlfriend’s house to buy some milk and minutes later his life was violently, and abruptly, ended.
He leaves behind a devastated family and partner who are wondering why he was taken from them.
There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.
“We know that for some people, the truth may be close to home. It may be that someone you know personally was involved in serious violence. You may have a sense of loyalty to that individual but feel what they were involved in has crossed a line. You now want to do the right thing but are too scared to speak directly to the authorities.
