Scunthorpe schoolgirl sexual assault sparks reward

We are offering a reward of up to £3,000 for information about the sexual assault of a 16-year-old girl as she walked to school.

The attack happened on the morning of Tuesday 28 January 2020 as the girl was walking alone when she noticed she was being followed by a man who was unknown to her.

As she neared her school at 8.50am on Foxhills Road, the male approached her from behind and smeared an unknown, clear substance across her face, in her eyes and mouth, before assaulting her.

After being inappropriately touched, the girl screamed and the man ran off in the direction of Reginald Road into a wooded area. Following the incident, the girl was taken to hospital. She was not injured, but she remains understandably distressed.

***We are offering a reward of up to £3,000 for information we exclusively receive – either online or via freephone 0800 555 111 - that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for this sexual assault***

The offender is described as being white and around thirty years old. He was wearing a baseball cap with a white image or motif, a black-top and trousers with what appeared to be a camouflage pattern on them.
