On anniversary of a violent Essex aggravated burglary, a £30,000 reward is available for anonymous information

One year after a violent aggravated burglary in Hutton Mount, Brentwood where a female victim was attacked in her own home, a reward of up to £30,000 for information leading to convictions is available through our charity.

On 24 September 2019 at around 10pm, the victim was alone at home in Heronway watching TV. She heard glass being smashed in her kitchen. She then saw three men wearing balaclavas enter her lounge. Investigations reveal that at least five people forced their way into her home that night. 

The victim suffered the ordeal of being hit with a crowbar, having a cleaning product sprayed into her eyes and being dragged around her home, as the intruders demanded to know where money was. Threats were made to throw petrol all over her and her phone and iPad were smashed to stop help from coming. 

She sustained serious bruising to her forearm and back. The suspects left, taking away a Breitling watch and a Rolex watch and a whole jewellery box containing various items.

Three of the men involved in this crime are described as being white. The man wielding a crowbar is described as being between 5ft 6ins to 6ft 2ins tall, with pale white skin and ‘hazel-like eyes’. He was wearing all black. A second male is described as being shorter and chubby.

Money for this reward is being offered by three third parties, who are each offering £10,000. No Crimestoppers money is being used in this reward.
