Regional Manager

Regional Manager

Ella Rabaiotti is a Regional Manager for the charity and she helps to promote Crimestoppers in Wales, as well as supporting campaigns and community engagement.

How long have you been with Crimestoppers and why did you choose us?

I've been with the Charity since September 2016, following a 15 year career in the probation service. I was impressed by Crimestoppers' unique role in encouraging people to report crime, particularly those who are fearful or scared. I was keen to bring my skills to work for a charity that can make a difference for victims of crime.

What is a typical day like for you?

There is no typical day for a Regional Manager although building relationships is a constant feature. Whether I'm talking to stakeholders about community safety priorities or promoting our youth scheme Fearless, it's all about developing an understanding and trust in our ability and determinedness to help reduce crime.

What’s been your biggest success so far?

My biggest success is raising the profile of the charity across Wales. As I'm the country's first Regional Manager, there was a massive opportunity to tell people of all levels about Crimestoppers from senior leaders to youth clubs. I feel like I've made a good start but there's still lots to do!

What do enjoy doing outside of work?

Outside of work, apart from spending time with my family in the great outdoors in Wales, I enjoy sewing clothes and patchwork quilts. My aim is to fill my wardrobe with handmade clothes!

As you live in Wales but journey down to our head office in London sometimes. City or countryside?

Can I say 'coast' ? I love living by the sea. Although we've got some beautiful countryside in Wales. My favourite location to deliver a Crimestoppers presentation was in the quaint fishing village of Aberaeron where Ceredigion council is based.
